The Carter Legacy Singers come to Emmanuel for a special concert on Sunday, March 12th. These exceptional musicians — who celebrate and cultivate the esteemed legacy of Morgan State University’s longtime choral director Nathan Carter — will present a spirited and memorable program. Get your tickets early!

We suggest a donation of $25 per ticket for Music at Emmanuel concerts, but welcome a donation of any amount — smaller or greater — depending on one's ability to contribute. A ticket is required of all attendees, and may be obtained prior to the concert or at the door beginning 30 minutes prior to the performance.

A Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols for Christmas and Organ Recital

The Emmanuel Choir offers a candlelit service of Nine Lessons and Carols for Christmas, in the tradition made world-famous by the choir of King’s College, Cambridge. Hear the story of Christ’s birth retold through timeless biblical readings and choral responses by Herbert Howells, James Burton, and Zachary Wadsworth, among others. Christopher Jacobson, former organist of Duke Chapel and Washington National Cathedral, performs a holiday organ recital at 6:30 p.m., preceding the 7:00 p.m. liturgy.

Tickets are not required for liturgies at Emmanuel Church. All are welcome.

A free-will donation will be accepted at the event. Donations are also accepted here on Eventbrite by clicking the "Tickets" link.

Join The Emmanuel Choir for a memorable and tuneful holiday concert! Benjamin Britten’s glorious Ceremony of Carols, with a shimmering harp accompaniment, anchors this program of holiday favorites — which will also include choral settings of Angels we have heard on high, Go tell it on the mountain, Jingle Bells!, and much, much more! Come ready to sing, as the audience will also be invited to join for several familiar carols! A treat for the whole family.
