Peabody Graduate Jazz Ensemble

  • Emmanuel Episcopal Church 811 Cathedral Street Baltimore, MD, 21201 United States (map)

Directed by renowned trumpeter Sean Jones, Chair of Jazz Studies at Peabody, the Graduate Jazz Ensemble (GJE) is a brand-new ensemble comprising recipients of Peabody’s Graduate Jazz Fellowship. This ensemble focuses on community-engaged artistry to develop expressive, flexible, creative, and collaborative musicians who are deeply invested in making an impact with their art. GJE provides developing artists with a platform to compose and perform original works, while gaining experience in roles of leadership and giving back to the community as educational artists. Be sure to join us as we welcome them to Emmanuel for a diverse — and fun! — program of jazz!
