At the Time of Death

The death of a member of the Church should be reported to the parish office as soon as possible and the family should arrange to meet with the parish clergy as soon as is convenient. Once the Rector has confirmed the arrangements, funeral notices may be written, readers invited to participate in the service, and reception arrangements made. More information can be found in Emmanuel's Funeral Customary

Contact the Rev. Anne Marie Richards, Rector, or call the parish office at 410.685.1130.

Make Your Wishes Known

If you are able to, completing a pre-planning form and having it on file at the church is a wonderful gift to give those loved ones who will be taking care of your final arrangements. Your clear directions will be a great comfort to your family and friends as they grieve your death and will relieve their anxiety about “doing the right thing” greatly.

Once you have completed the form you may email it to our office manager Kim at kim@emmanueldowntown.org, or send it vial the postal system to Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 811 Cathedral Street, Baltimore, MD 21201.
